Remarks: A great aviation moment, the first ever flight of this child! Look at it's face of joy with those huge googles and helmet that the civil protection lent to this event that was created to present aviation to children that come from families with social problems. How many of us still make this face in some special flights? :)

Remarks: Coming in low & fast over the beach and heading towards me, this Merlin is starting a SAR display in the Tagus River during the official tribute cerimony to the PoAF Rescue Swimmers that everyday risk their life "So that others may live"!

Remarks: The sun passing through the Husky's cabin gives the perfect touch to one of the last photos of this awesome air-to-air flight around Santarém and the Tagus River.
Remarks: The Australian BBJ is getting prepared for departure while the IL-96 RA-96016 with part of the Russian delegation is already taxiing for the runway. This was the stampede night with all participants leaving after the end of the NATO Summit in Lisbon.
Remarks: Flying low over the Tagus River with the only Husky in Portugal and keeping it perfect for the photos with a little crab maneuver. Notice that in the back there's jetphotos photographer Jorge Ruivo checking his pictures of the DHC-1 Chipmunk that I was flying with open canopy! What a great way to end the day!

Remarks: My first ever glimpse of Azores, passing Praia da Vitória Bay on final approach to Lajes after a 4h flight from Lisbon. Photo taken from the observation window... the best seat in the house after the cockpit!
Remarks: Fitted with passenger interior, this 4 hour flight between Lisbon Airport and Lajes Air Base was way more comfortable than some other flights that i've done in comercial aviation... the only downside was the engine sound in the cabin, but nothing that a pair of hear plugs couldn't fix!
Remarks: What a feeling to have an AWACS taxiing right next to you! This aircraft was based in Lisbon during the entire week of Swordfish 2010 Exercise
