Remarks: Ship KC 3801 (Still at Lockheed Martin HQ, Marietta for some tests) was/is IAF's First American Built Aircraft in 40 Years. Ship KC 3802 (pictured here) was Officially Handed-Over to the IAF during a Ceremony at Marietta on December 16th 2010. Delivery Flight Routing: Feb 2nd 2011 > Marietta Dobbins > Glasgow > Athens > Abu Dhabi > Jamnagar > and finally at Hindon AFB 6:20pm on Feb 3rd 2011. It is now assigned to No.77 Squadron 'Veiled Vipers' under Group Captain Tejbir Singh who also flew the a/c here to Yelahanka.

Remarks:Gajraj from No.25 Squadron "The Himalayan Eagles" lifts-off on a slight crosswind for its short flight back to base at Chandigarh. An IndiGo A320 holds short on the last taxiway with an IAF Dornier 228 Tail # HM-686 on the adjoining one. The 25th Squadron was formed on March 1st 1963 with 4 AN-12's for air maintenance of Indian Army positions in Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir sectors. It is also the life line of the armed forces in the Himalayan region which are completely dependent on air support during the winter months when road communications shut.
