Remarks: [1600px] A panoramic vista of McCarran Airport is provided courtesy of seat 2F aboard an Alaska Airlines 737 as we prepare to join the downwind to runway 7R. Of note in this photo: construction of Terminal 3, which is now home to all international carriers serving LAS, as well as several domestic airlines, has yet to even begin. Also, it's interesting to note the 30+ US Airways aircraft parked at the A/B concourses. US shuttered its former America West hub here in the wake of the 2008 fuel crisis, but at this point in the summer of 2007, it was still nearly at its peak, offering over 200 daily flights to 70+ international and domestic markets.
Remarks: Grounded 787 Dreamliners glisten in the last minutes of sunlight as a rainy afternoon has given way to clear skies just in time for sunset. Thankfully a fix for the 787's battery problem has now been approved and these birds should be back in the air shortly. Remarks: [1400 px] My primary aim of uploading this pic is not to show the sad state of various Kingfisher Airlines birds scattered across various Indian airports, but to serve as a remembrance of one of my finest Domestic flights which came aboard this very bird back in 2007. Still, this bird is much better condition than some of the others & I hope it finds a new home with some different airline & is back in the air soon!
Remarks: ANA's new "First Square" product offers a private enclosed suite featuring a 7ft fully flat bed, a 23 inch HD screen with 400+ hours of on demand programming, and all of the bells and whistles one would expect in one of today's premiere international F cabins. Coupled with ANA's renowned dining/beverage service (widely considered to be amongst the top 3 in the world) and a fantastic crew, it was certainly a pleasure to spend 10 hours in seat 2K (pictured) aboard NH7 from San Francisco to Narita.
Remarks: the most beautiful day so far this year with temperatures over 20° ended with a beautiful shot of this Austrian Fokker arriving to Innsbruck [1600px]
Remarks: I had about 2 weeks tracking one of the new American liveries since they started back flying the 737's for the low season. And I finally got one!!
