Remarks: A view down Concourse A of the Edward H McNamara Terminal. Almost a mile long, with 99 gates, 18 luggage carousels, and more than 1.5 miles of moving walkways, it is a very impressive terminal.
Remarks: Airport Overview of DTW from a Midwest 717 enroute MKE-LGA coming home from AI 2005. I count 6 runways, that must come in pretty handy for NW's hub operations ! Note that most of the original NW concourses appear to be gone !
Remarks: As we come in for landing onrunway 22R we get a good overview the old terminal complex at DTW including the old tower. A Northwest 757 is taxiing for departure on runway 22L.
Remarks: This shot is taken from the lobby of the Westin Hotel at DTW. The hotel is essentially in the terminal building. The rooms have equally impressive views. It's pretty cool to see the red tails, with N8912E closest to view.
