Remarks: Final approach for RWY21 at Lydd on the southern Kent coastline. You can just about see Dungeness nuclear power station which makes for an interesting approach from the opposite end, trying to avoid the prohibited area.
Remarks: Climbing out from RWY21 at Lydd with a great view of the terminal and the many light aircraft parked up - lots of aircraft tend to stop here on the way to/from France.
Remarks: On final for RWY03 at Lydd battling quite a stiff cross-wind. Lydd is situated on the South Kent coast of the UK and you have to make a very short final approach due to a restricted area around Dungeness power station. Off in the distance the coast continues round toward Folkestone and Dover.
Remarks: Turning overhead and about to descend deadside for RWY03 at Lydd with a superb view over the airfield. There's plenty of aircraft on the ground on this sunny Winter's weekend, a PA28 is just about to arrive on RWY03.
Remarks: A good view over the apron/terminal area. There's an ATR42 down there and a Netjets Citation II, the rest is light GA traffic having arrived for lunch on this bright winter weekend. The passenger terminal is at the bottom of the frame.
Remarks: The small and rarely used terminal here at Lydd, complete with 2 check-in desks and one X-ray machine. It's a great place though for GA flying, with a nice restaurant [400D]
