Remarks: Airmark Corp EX QFA VH-EBA. This is the first jet flown by Qantas, and has been returned to it's home in 2006. Aircraft is no stranger to Canada, it was flown by PWA "Pacific Western Airlines" mid seventies as C-FPWV.
Remarks: Now that she is safely at Longreach, having flown from Southend to Sydney over the US, this picture can be shown. We see here the starboard side mains, lit nicely in the morning sun. Looking a bit aft, and directly underneath, one can see a bucket, which was catching the Jet-A streaming out of the centre-line tank. This seemed to be a problem that occurred in the glove area in the #2 main tank, not serious enough to ground the bird, so she left us, bound for history.
Remarks: What a wonderfull sight!! Taking off for her next stop wich is HNL.Originaly her planning was to stop at my hometown airport wich is Montreal, but for weather reason that was canceled. It was definitly worth the trip to LAX to see the classic beauty.
