Remarks: In a few months we will be seeing this in Indian Airforce colors when the air force takes delivery of its first C-17 aircraft. The IAF has ten C-17s on order and the first aircraft to be delivered is already in the flight testing phase.
This aircraft at Aero India 2013 was supposed to be part of the flying display but it was grounded for first two days of the air show due a problem with one of its engines. It finally flew on Day 3.
The aircraft belongs to 535th Airlift Squadron assigned to the 15th Wing at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii
Remarks: A true work horse of the USAF. It was at Aero India 2013 in support of the two USAF F-16s that were participating in the air show and had flown in from Japan.
This aircraft is operated by the 909th Air Refueling Squadron assigned to the 18th Wing at Kadena Air Base, Japan.
