Remarks: After a heavy night out in Brighton i deprted LGW with a raging hangover for my short flight over to Iceland. On departure while the weather wasn't great i did manage to snap this shot of the Gatwick ramp early in the morning. The low level fog is still hanging in the air and the ramp is fairly quiet. What i found particuarly interesting with this shot is the sheer amount of stuff that was around then that has gone now. A long line of Excell Airways Boeing's are present as is a Mytravel A330. All of which are no longer with us in the skies. (400D/17-40F4L)

Remarks: The daily Air France A340 arrives from Paris with a large assembled crowd eagerly awaiting the arrival of a large jet plane over the beach. Many people pose for the cameras hoping that they can get their moment of glory at this extraordinary beach.
Remarks: Air Force One was low and slow as she departed runway 25R from the A4 intersection, becoming airborne less than 1,000 feet from the end of the runway. Here she climbs over the palms of Vegas, and a west coast staple in the United States, Jack in the Box!
Remarks:Not as hardcore as she is! A lovely lady has her SLR at a unique angle as she captures AA's daily JFK arrival over Maho Beach in picturesque St. Maarten. I believe we were both kneeling in the sand for this particular arrival, but she definitely had the one up in the contest for the most interesting photo perspective. There was one other key difference, however: she was about to get extremely wet. I wasn't!
Remarks: Here is a slightly different view from the In-N-Out at LAX of Virgin flight 23 from Heathrow. Fellow JP.netter Jon Derden can be seen in the blue shirt in the lower middle of the frame.
Remarks: In perfect synchrinosity, three F/A-18F Super Hornets shadow the Omega Tanker as the fourth takes gas out of view. These birds, from VFA-41 at NAS Lemoore, California, are known as the "Black Aces."
Remarks: The palms are swaying, the waters are brilliant crystal blue, and the sun is warm on another gorgeous afternoon on St. Maarten as United's weekly service from Chicago is about to land on runway 09.
Remarks: On final for 27L at LHR! This big A346 glides over the Green Man and passes Hatton Cross Tube Station which is visible in the bottom of this shot! Also in this shot you can see 2 BA 744's sitting in line outside one of the rear hangers. The weather looks terrible but at this moment a lovely burst of sunlight came over LHR which made this photo look so much better! For this pic i am sitting in seat 15K in Virgin Upper Class Suites! Lovely view from up front! (10D/17-40F4L)
Remarks: Just a few hours after stepping off of our Delta 757 from ATL we are treated to our second jumbo arrival over Maho Beach, this time in the form of a Corsair 743. When can we go back?
Remarks: This is the cockpit of an Iran Air 747SP mid flight! This photo was taken on the sightseeing flight organized by AirEvents from CGN going back to CGN. This was shot with my 15mm fisheye lens that captures the whole of the cockpit. It is more spacious than i thought with room for 4 people and a visitor (me)! We were currently half way thru this amazing experience. Thank you Iran Air! (10D/15mmFisheye/550ex)
