Remarks: BR892 heading back to Taipei in the morning. These Hello Kitty schemes do look interesting and colourful. At least we now have something to look forward to when photographing EVA Air A330s.
Remarks: Avient Aviation’s MD-11F is finally airborne after a seemingly never-ending takeoff roll. This is probably the lowest 25L departure I've ever seen. It would be nice if they sent their only remaining DC-10 to HKG again!
Remarks: "Connie 248" taking off very heavy bound for Delhi in nice light and visibility (which in typical HK fashion worsened later that day). This aircraft started off with Singapore Airlines as 9V-SKQ in the late eighties & in the 90s changed ownership to Southern Air (N750SJ) & South African (ZS-SBJ). It was acquired by Northwest Cargo as N644NW in October of ’99 and flew with them until it was stored in December 2009. It was then picked up by Kalitta the next year.
Remarks: One of several Hello Kitty planes EVA operates, all coloured differently. On the Hello Kitty services that EVA advertises, everything is Hello Kitty themed, from the meal trays to the shape of your dessert, headrest covers, etc!!
Remarks: NH1241 arriving about 15 mins earlier than scheduled being operated by one of two 737-700s in a gold colour variant of their scheme. Apparently these gold jets will be no more as the 737s are due to be sold to another Japanese airline Air Do.
