Remarks: This is the first time i've seen 2 747's on the runway at SXM, let alone many other locations! The KLM 747 is on a backtrack to the turning area as it is about to depart whereas the Corsair 747 in the background had just arrived moment previously and is also backtracking down the runway and is just about to turn off onto the ramp area.
Remarks: This is a cabin overview of the Upper Deck of this 747-400 which houses Lufthansa's First Class Section, where i was flying that day. As you can see the upper deck is very spacious with ample legroom and space around your seat. I was fortunate to be able to get the Exit Row on the left and have a spare seat next to me for the entire FRA-YYZ flight. This was shot just after the main meal service around 3 hours into the flight. (1dmkii/15mm F2.8 Fisheye)
Remarks: First CRJ-700 for Air India! Seen here on fuel stop in basic Air India colours. Titles has not been painted on yet! Will be VT-RJE! Ex Horizon Air lease! Should go in service in august. First photo on the web!
Remarks: This BA T7 performing flight BA-16 from Singapore (Singapore) to London Heathrow on the 15th of June, was enroute at FL380 overhead Germany just about entering Netherlands when the crew decided to divert to Amsterdam, a few minutes later the crew declared PAN reporting multiple technical problems increasing in number and severity, the crew being unable to pinpoint any specific issues. At the same time the crew reported being low on fuel having about 40 minutes endurance left. The crew requested a long final to be able to configure the airplane early. The airplane proceeded towards Amsterdam, where the aircraft landed safely on runway 27 about 25 minutes later.
After landing it was found, that the right hand engine (Trent 895) suffered substantial damage around the outlet area, both engines had however produced thrust until landing with some higher fuel burn. The engine damage is believed to have happened about 5 hours prior to landing.
Remarks: Given the number of times i've photographed this aircraft from the outside it makes a nice change to get one from the inside. This is an overview of the premium economy cabin as we fly over the Atlantic Ocean enroute to ORD from MAN.
Remarks: Here is a full fisheye shot of the rear economy cabin onboard this Qantas 747. I was very surprised that the crew managed a full breakfast service during this very short SYD-MEL hop. The seats are very comfy and i imagine perfectly adequate for a long haul flight. It was a bit of a come down after arriving in EK F the day before! (1dmkii/15mm F2.8 Fisheye)
Remarks: After a heavy night out in Brighton i deprted LGW with a raging hangover for my short flight over to Iceland. On departure while the weather wasn't great i did manage to snap this shot of the Gatwick ramp early in the morning. The low level fog is still hanging in the air and the ramp is fairly quiet. What i found particuarly interesting with this shot is the sheer amount of stuff that was around then that has gone now. A long line of Excell Airways Boeing's are present as is a Mytravel A330. All of which are no longer with us in the skies. (400D/17-40F4L)
