The Mercure 100 prototype first flew from Mérignac on May 28, 1971, with Jean Coureau, Jérôme Résal and Gérard Joyeuse in the cockpit.
The picture was taken inside a Boeing 747. Throgh an EXIT which is on the left side of the plane, one can step outside to the wing. The camera was held horizontal.
