Remarks: 'Sunspot' was quietly sitting at the ramp, looking surprisingly sharp and clean, when I arrived from Brussels. A few hours before, its sistership 'Sunbreeze', an indentical Md, had crashed at Madrid, turning the 20th August a very sad day for Spanair and for the aviation. This very aircraft was first flown in 1987 and operated for Aviaco and Oasis among other airlines before joining Spanair in 1998.
