Remarks: NW 453 bound for OMA rockets out of MSP from 12R with a great view of the Lindbergh terminal below. This was a great ending to an overall perfect day, albeit delayed due to an autopilot repair. This shot goes out to Adam Wright and Chris Weyer for a great time in MSP that day. Thanks guys! Remarks: Rare 37 year old image of near new TAA DC-9-31 VH-TJR, named 'George Bass' (Del: 05Feb1971) climbing out from Melbourne's Essendon Airport in 1972. My first flight in a TAA DC-9 was from Mascot Sydney to Essendon in VH-TJP, on 29Apr1970. VH-TJR was retired on 27Aug89, after serving with Australian Airlines from 04Aug86. VH-TJR was Sold to Airborne Express on 21Aug89, and Re-registered as N943AX in Sep89. Low res photo. Apologies for low image quality.
