Remarks: One of two 747-400's stored at Hurn in conjunction with Noor Airways (formerly Eagle Aviation Europe) being placed into liquidation last month. The other 747 (N265MS) has been here since August 2009.
Remarks: On the turnaround at the end of runway 08 prior to departing to London Heathrow for charter work. Notice the outlines of its previous operator "Saudi Arabian Airlines". This machine in previous years also Carried the famous "Iron Maiden" titles.
Remarks: So far this is the only in service photo of her. She has served in Israel and Italy before joining the Channel Express fleet in 1987. Was retired in 1996 and lifted to the Gatwick viewing deck for display. I remember being in the cockpit and cabin there. It was removed from there around 2003 and now a days lives near the fire training area near the Gatwick runways at 08 end.
Remarks: Originally delivered new to Aliblu AW of Italy in 1989. Since then it's been with at least ten different operators. She was with the short lived EuroDirect for just over a year. Now flying in Canada with Aviation Starlink.
Remarks: "Austrian 95NQ" just arrived from Innsbruck; bathed in early morning sunlight as she taxies in. The aircraft has only recently been painted in Austrian Airlines' colours & has been named 'Großglockner', which is Austria's highest mountain.
