Remarks: Brazilian Adilson Kindlemann crashing into the Swan River Perth Western Australia where he was flying the first practice round of the 2010 Red Bull Air race championship. He survived with only minor injuries. This was the first ever crash at a Red Bull air race event.
Remarks: The driver was pinned inside the vehicle for over an hour before firefighters could extract him. He was rushed to the hospital with what I'm told were non life threatening injuries.
Remarks: Accident on October 29, 2009. Wind gust pushed the plane's wing into the dirt, causing the aircraft to cartwheel as it was landing. Two onboard but no injuries.
Remarks: A non named storm that rated as a catagory 1 hurricane took out its rath on this Schweizer 2-33. It was firmly secured between two hangars that apparently venturied the wind creating lift loads that overcame the tie down limit loads. Hopefully she can be repaired. My first solo flight was in this ship...
Remarks: Here you can see the replacement engine and the other engine with damaged blades after a seagull impact during takeoff. After emptying part of the fuel, the plane landed safely with one engine.
Remarks: At the 8th of march polish border guard airplane (PZL-Mielec M-20 Mewa) had to take land without landing gear (mechanism malfunction). The propeller has clearly suffered a ground strike but fuselage remain in one piece. Fortunately nobody from the crew (three persons) was injured - an excellent job by the pilot !!
