Remarks: A night shoot of DC-3 one of pioneer in the history of world aviation and also in Chile, well preserved at the MNAE with the moon as background on a cloudy night.
This DC-3 was delivered to the USAAF on May 12, 1944 and it was assigned the India-China theater. Ater the war, it was register as N8326C. On February 1954 was bought it by LAN Chile. Its first registration was CC-CBJ and later was assigned CC-CLDT and finally on December, 1962, get its final registration as CC-CBX.
Remarks: Gear UP!! after takeoff from runway 17L on its way to SAEZ. N798AN, was one of the three Boeing 777 diverted, that day, to SCEL from SAEZ (Buenos Aires) due the Volcanic ash from Puyehue.
Remarks: Simply a beauty rolling via Quebec. A view that we don't get often any more... its getting really difficult to catch a Passenger Boeing 747-400 at SCEL.
