Remarks: [1600px] My 175th shot in the Jp database. I'm really thankful to API and all its fellow members. This shot is dedicated to my dear friend Prathamesh Kini who loves these 340s but has twice missed getting a good shot of this bird.
Remarks: [1200 px] The light was extremely harsh, yet looking at the 'Old is Gold' funda, I had to ensure I would get a shot of this bird which first flew in 1990s. It features a C12 Y190 & from trip reports that I have read, it seems to be a very well maintained bird. It was initially delivered to CSA in 1991 & was stored for 2 months in 2009 before being delivered to Mahan Air.
Remarks: 1/60s panning on SG 2115 to Chandigarh. This aircraft is named "Jaiphal", which means nutmeg in Hindi. ATR's long standing monopoly of the Indian turboprop market is now threatened by these beautiful Q400s, which are giving them a run for their money! [Canon EOS 40D + EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM]
Remarks: Close encounters of the heavy kind! "Virgin 300" makes a greaser of an entrance on arrival from London-Heathrow. A few seconds later, the smell of burnt rubber hit me! "Indian Princess" is the oldest A340-600 in Virgin's fleet, and still in the old colours. [Canon EOS 40D + EF 70-200mm f/4L USM]
Remarks: [1400 px] I have always wanted to snap the A333 from this angle & the 'nose down' angle of the A330 is clearly evident! Local time is 2:40am, as this classy & huge A333 gets ready to operate MU564 to Beijing! This bird features a C38 Y262 config & was delivered on 12/09/2007. It also features "my favourite" RR Trent 700 series engines!
Remarks: Delivered in 2005, this is the third A330 in the Asiana fleet. Seen here operating the thrice a week flight from New Delhi to Seoul as flight '768'.
The engine inspection lights come on creating a nice glow around the engine.
