Remarks: Benny and the Jet! "Frontier Flight 125" to Denver is ready to roll on runway 18L in perfect flying weather. DFW's east tower and Dallas downtown - some 15 miles away - can be seen in the distance. A couple of noteworthy landmarks in the background include the Comerica Bank Tower and Fountain Place. Note the open outflow valve just below the rear door on this airplane. [Canon EOS 40D + EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM]
Remarks: "Midex 2304" is moments away from touching down on runway 18R. This flight is now operated by an ERJ-170. DFW's central control tower can be seen in the distance. [Canon EOS 40D + EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM]
Remarks: Cabin view onboard "Oregano" while descending into Ahmedabad as SG 282 from Chennai. I was pleasantly surprised by the equipment change today, as this flight is usually operated by a 737-800. That is one long cabin - note how it tapers in at the forward section. Remarks: Pictured while descending into Mumbai as 6E 212 from Jaipur and Ahmedabad. Many thanks to Paul Markman for his editing help. [Canon EOS 40D + Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM]
Remarks: Cabin view while descending into Chennai as 6E 212 from Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. This was my first flight with IndiGo. An on-time departure and arrival, friendly crew and excellent buy-on-board food options ensured that I'll fly them again! [Canon EOS 40D + Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM]
Remarks: Picture taken while on short final for runway 27 at Mumbai airport on a very overcast morning as 6E 212 from Jaipur and Ahmedabad. The proximity of these small hillocks to the final approach path of runway 27 results in a steeper than usual glide angle during landing. [Canon EOS 40D + Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM]
Remarks: Echo Foxtrot is docked at the international terminal, awaiting its return morning flight to Denpasar as GA 727. The domestic terminals and Perth Airport's old control tower can be seen in the distance. [Canon EOS 400D + EF 70-200mm f/4L]
Remarks: A superb view of Perth CBD as we climb out on departure to Singapore as SQ 224 on this beautiful morning. Almost all of Perth's famous landmarks are visible, most notably from the left: PCEC, QV.1, Central Park, BankWest Tower, Langley Park (the temporary landing strip for the Perth leg of the Red Bull Air Race), the WACA cricket ground, Gloucester Park race course, the Swan River and last but not the least, the Indian Ocean in the distance. Remarks: What reflections! Beautiful! American's bare metal finish never disappoints in that aspect. The "Susan G. Komen For The Cure" breast cancer awareness logojet on static display at the 2008 Alliance Air Show. [Canon EOS 40D + Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM]
Remarks: Greg Poe taxies back to the flightline after a practice run at the 2008 Alliance Air Show. Some pretty advanced-looking avionics too for a stunt plane! [Canon EOS 40D + EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM]
Remarks: Mike Goulian's Extra 300/S is parked on the flightline, awaiting its performance later in the day, while Gene Soucy's Show Cat (NX7699) gets worked on in the background. Just making it into the frame to the right is John Klatt's Staudacher S300D (N540DH). Alliance Air Show 2008. [Canon EOS 40D + EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM]
