Remarks: Just over three years after the first flight, Song's last ever scheduled departure gets pushed into the alleyway for startup as DAL1990 to TPA. There's a great product inside these green planes, and plenty of fantastic people to back it up, so I can only look forward to what mainline Delta has in store for the future. This one's for Phil G., Rob, and all the others at T2/3 who "did it their way"!
Remarks: I had seen these palm trees at the gate earlier in the day, and hoped I'd get a chance to see them take off before I left for ORD in the evening. Sure enough, a quick trip up to the parking garage two hours before my flight got me just what I was looking for...and here she is, lining up on 26R for a flight to Hawaii.
Remarks: It's pretty strange to see the bright new US Airways decal by the entrance while the rest of this bird is covered in jetway dirt and hydraulic fluid stains. I wonder if the 737s will even be repainted with the new color scheme...
Remarks: On finals for 31R. Of all the international flights that come through JFK every day, this is the only one that still blows my mind. CX830/831, nonstop from Hong Kong to New York. Hong Kong!! 18 hours!!! Wow.
