Remarks: Fedex's MD-11, when she was turning into rwy 13L before take off to LFPG from LHBP, ran off the load-bearing surface of the taxiway. The left main gears have broken the asphalt and sunk down. The crew stopped the engines and requested technical help.
Remarks: I was about to return on a training flight, when one of the guys of the ''fliegleitung'' came to me and said: quick! get your camera, there is an AN2 coming! I ran to grab my camera and I was just in time. I recognized the AN2 coming from Texel. When it landend, it made a bounce and suddenly I saw it disappear in the grass. It couldn't get out anymore and the airport was blocked for an hour. [1200px]
Remarks: Having arrived on full emergency with a 'bird strike' the aircraft was located southside due to having 'live ammo' on board. The damage can be seen on the leading edge of the tail fin to the left of the Sqn badge. 1600pixels.
Remarks: Skidded off runway upon landing in ice and snow and stuck in the soft meadows. Offloading of cargo had to be done there instead of the apron and took the whole day. Thereafter a/c could be recovered.
Remarks: Aircraft suffered a left-wing gear collapse after lining up on runway 25L, blocking the runway. This photo was taken many hours after the incident, and after I got home a couple of hours after seeing it resting on it's left hand wing. Still surrounded by fire engines, the fuel spill has been cleaned up and Haeco are working to secure the gear to tow it away. Aircraft is ex Singapore Airlines (9V-SMA), Iberia (TF-AMA) and Martinair (PH-MPP) and has only been with ACG for a few weeks! First photo of this aircraft with ACG in the database too!
Remarks: Getting dragged home off of Runway 31R after a rough night out in New York. Flight was 4951 ATL-HPN, diverted to JFK after discovering right gear would not deploy. Nobody was injured among the 60 passengers and four crew.
Remarks: The aircraft being physically manhandled off the runway, having arrived on 'full emergency' with a smoke filled cockpit. The airport was closed down whilst the aircraft was made safe, and eventually pushed to the Southern parking area to be parked up safely.
Remarks: Emergency this morning at Turin Airport! This A124 aborted the take off due to 3 of its 4 engines go on fire just few seconds of full thrust. The airport was closed for 30 min allowing the rescue team to manage the situation. The aircraft reach the kilo parking safely 15 min later
Remarks: Close-up of this written-off SAX ERJ. The nose was bent backwards when it went off the runway and smashed onto the road which goes around the airport. Part of the perimeter fence can be seen still attached to the front !
