Remarks: This fellow in the bombardier's seat is getting the ride of his life...looking at me taking his photo in late day golden light. Standing next to this beautiful piece of history as it lifted off almost made me feel like I was living in 1944. Notice the names in script of all previous veterans painted on the fuselage. A beautifully maintained vintage aircraft. See a closeup of the main gear at takeoff here;

Remarks: Welcome to New York, Hawaiian Airlines! Here is a brand-spanking new A330 (only about 4 weeks old) arriving at 07:00 after a 10 hour non-stop flight from HNL. Here the jet is taxiing into gate 14 at jetBlue's terminal 5 (looks like there are some extra folks in the cockpit too). Note the JFK control tower in the background. Second image of this jet in the JP database (1200x800 pixels).
Remarks: Takeoff very late in the day, heading directly into the mid-autumn sun, within about 45 minutes of sunset. Notice how the sunlight nicely illuminates the belly, gear and engine undersides.
Remarks: An impressive replica of the Martin M-130 hanging amidst a glass-steel ceiling at the international concourse check-in area at BWI. Very attractive lobby!
Remarks: The Recovery Room aboard the Orbis Flying Eye hospital, where, after eye surgery, patients remain here for several hours. Around the time of its 40th "birthday" this jet will be replaced by a modified -30 model.
Remarks: Four of FedEx's work horse aircraft await loading at LAX on a sunny morning. Note there are two A300's and two MD10's soon to be replaced by 767 freighters (1200x800 pixels).
Remarks: Virgin America's winglet, painted to match the "waving" American flag as the jet rushes through the atmosphere at 570 miles per hour. This paint is metallic flake, so if you look carefully, you might see the shimmering in the colors. Even their white fuselages don't appear white up close, but have specks of metallic reflections in them, making the jet appear slightly silver in color.
Remarks: Shown here against the San Jacinto mountain peaks is a former TWA MD83 in American Airlines colors. The background certainly compliments the message; welcome to the western US! PSP is a great place to be warm in February, to swim in the morning and ski in the afternoon.
Remarks: Jet Airways' first landing in New York at JFK. This bird just had a soaking from a water cannon salute, so the tail colors are clean and pristine.
