Remarks: Some smaller aircraft and... the new airport under construction on the background : high time !!! Among the numerous Islanders, Twin Otters, Dash 8s and bizzjets (a majority of Gulfstreams) you'll find every day some ATRs. At Philispburg mostly American Eagle. For Air Caraïbles or Air Guyane, you'll have to go to the French part of the island (Grand Case - TFFG).
Remarks: One of the many present on the island about to land on rwy 09. If you spot at Maho Beach, you really learn fast that bizzjets are not sumitted to the noise abattment regulations. Pricy, nice, often elegant but noisy. Winglets !
Remarks: Preparing for the last turn to rwy 09. I am sure you have noticed the Swiss registation. Always amazed me to see that they cross the Atlantic with those "small" planes.
Remarks: leaving for Guadeloupe at (almost) sunset. The airport is at Grand Case, on the french side of St Maarten (administratively a municipality of Guadeloupe).
