Remarks: Departing Bangkok here with a view over the city and looking down the length of the Chao Phraya river. Thai Airways are one of the only passenger A300 operators left in the World, and so this short flight up to Chiang Mai was a great chance to experience one.
Remarks: One of only 2 actual Bird Dog's in the UK, caught visiting Fenland on a sunny day. This particular model is 55 years old, not that it looks it from the outside.
Remarks: First in the database of Main Hall Farm, an immaculate farm strip in Cambridgeshire. We were flying overhead to check for any obstacles on the runway before we made an approach and stopped to swap over pilot duties and depart again.
Remarks: Weybourne airfield (ex-RAF Weybourne) is a difficult airfield to fly in to and so I was especially pleased to get this shot after we'd landed - our 7th airfield of the day and well worth a visit with its awesome view over the Norfolk coastline. There are 4 other visitors on the ground and a caravan/clubhouse. With the longest runway being 600m, and the terrain rising fairly rapidly inland, this airfield becomes very much a "One way in, one way out" airfield if the winds aren't favourable.
Remarks: To me, this is a perfect British summer time scene. Blue skies, crops in the fields, and a classic aircraft taxiing out on a quaint grass airfield.
Remarks: After a quick stop for lunch, we had to move on to our next airfield as we were trying to tick off 10 new airfields in a day. Plenty of interesting aircraft on the ground at Fenland, visitors along with residents. At the bottom of the shot is the small control tower and clubhouse.
