Remarks: To me the landing gear is one of the most fascinating parts on an aircraft. It's almost unimaginable that those comparatively small parts carry the whole weight of the aircraft. Remarks: I flew on this Concorde a year later on a supersonic flight from Paris to Manchester.On this particular day the aircraft was delayed for departure as the fire service attended to deal with a leakage of fuel onto the apron.The aircraft shut down on the taxiway for a while until the matter was resolved.Eventually the aircraft was given the all clear to continue its supersonic charter.
