Remarks: The Sunset Beach Bar now features an 'attractive' surfboard showing the estimated arrival times of the more noteworthy flights at Juliana for the day. It also features another very important message .. open the large photo to see what it is! ;-)
Remarks: Lightning bolt from a cell around 25 nm away (the small blob on the EHSI). Also note both ADF needles on the ERMI have swung around to point at the lightning discharge. Some great colours in the sky in the NT this time of year. Returning to Darwin for the night.
Remarks: Is caught in the old TWA hangers at LAX, following a very serious engine failure during a maintenance run resulting in substancial damage to the aircrafts left wing area and fuselage. The aircraft at this point is considered a write off.
Remarks: This Hawk is going to crash after a mid air collision with a portuguese air force F-16. The pilot made a good ejection without injuries and the portuguese F-16 landed safely with a broken tail stabilizer. It was during Portuguese Air Force Airshow.
