Remarks: This Stearman departs Republic Airport as part of a three ship team commemorating the 90th Anniversary of US Post Office Air Mail service. Following the completion of the cross-country flight, this aircraft was severely damaged during a forced landing caused by engine failure in Oregon. Fortunately the pilot, Larry Tobin, was unharmed in the crash.
