Remarks: Two-seat trainer variant of MiG-23. NVA LSK/LV had 11 UB variants during 1978-90, three were lost in the service. The East German Air Force used Flogger Cs by JG-9, JBG-31/37 and Jagdfliegerausbildnungsgeschwader "Leander Ratz". The cockpit space is tight, especially in rear cockpit. Also the visibility is poor, especially to rear.
Remarks: Erprobungsstelle 61 ( WTD 61 ) tested and evaluated Su-20. Bundesluftwaffe bought two Egyptian Fitter Cs in 1985. One was used for evaluation flight testing and one for spare parts. 98-61 flew some 25 hours during test program in 1985-86 at Manching AB. Today it is located at Luftwaffenmuseum Gatow. This Fitter is still carrying it's Egyptian era camo scheme. UB-32 rocket pods on pylons. Top secret thing in 1985.

On starboard side is a overpainted NVA insignia and MiG carry Luftwaffe four digits code....Anyway would be nice to see with full NVA LSK/LV style insignias, where it served once.
Remarks: NVA era 333 served with Jagdfliegergeschwader 9 (JG-9)"Heinrich Rau" at Peenemunde. NVA LSK/LV had 32 Flogger G fighters during 1982-90. Three were lost. MiG-23ML Flogger G was first seen in the West, when a group of six Flogger Gs from Kubinka AB made a goodwill visit to Karelian Wing at Rissala AB in Finland 1978. Flogger Gs were purchased only by East Germany and Czechoslovakia in Warsaw Pact.
