A bit of dust is being generated despite overnight rain, and the mountain background high-lights the Dak's white livery. During the day ZK-DAK did a drop of NZ Army 'paratroops' in company with 'Southern DC3' Douglas DC-3 ZK-AMY (Cn 13506). [The tail wheel of ZK-DAK appears to be resting on a campervan!]

Remarks: Close cropped Wing View taken through the Stbd blister window of PBY-5A Catalina ZK-PBY (NZ4017) during a Scenic flight from Wanaka - during the Warbirds Over Wanaka 2010 Airshow. The aircraft is heading for Lake Wanaka at low level - the flight included 'skimming' over Lake Wanaka. I was lucky to have gone on a twenty minute flight in this aircraft on Sunday 04Apr10. My scheduled flight at 1200 hours was cancelled, but was re-instated for a 1600 hrs take-off on the final day of the airshow.
