Remarks: Scanned from Fuji slide. Taken from the good old days when 727's and DC9's were quite mundane and repetetive. Delivered in October 1968, later flying with Capitol Air Express, AeroTour Dominicana as HI-656CA, and Air Dabia as 5V-TPC then C5-ADA. Reportedly stored at Banjul now.
Remarks: Scanned from Fuji slide. Arriving runway 08R. Delivered December 1973 as Swissair's HB-IHD, became JAT's YU-AMC and Electra's VR-BMP, reportedly broken up at Maxton 2002/2003.
Remarks: In the summer of 1995, the airport began a major renovation of Airdside D. The airlines using Airside D had a temporary move to Airside E which had been vacant since Continental moved over to the new Airside A. These airlines included Northwest, United, Valujet, Kiwi Intl & Spirit. Here we have a Northwest DC-9-51 occupying gate 63. This was taken from an airport service road, a location I wouldn't dare try today. Scanned from an old print.
