Remarks: An overview of NCE as we depart on an OKTET2W departure back to Gatwick as BA8136. Terminal 1 can be seen, as can a BA B767-300 taxiing to the terminal. Terminal 2 cannot be seen, but it to the extreme left where an Air France A320 can be seen on a stand. The beautiful city of Nice can be seen in the background.
Remarks: At the Pima Air and Space Museum. This aircraft formerly operated for Western Airlines and Air Malta, before being converted to a simulator, and later being placed in the museum.
Remarks: This aircraft is formerly of the University of North Dakota, though now operates for Oxford Airline Training Center in Goodyear. Taken after my first lesson.
Remarks: East Fortune Airfield, home to the Scottish National Museum of Flight. Among other exhibits, the museum contains Concorde G-BOAA, Nimrod XV241 and Vulcan XM597. Taken from G-BCCF, a PA28 routing from Manchester EGCC to Fife EGPJ.
Remarks: A view of AeroExpo 2012, with a packed parking area with plenty still arriving! The grass runways, 25 and 15, were both closed all weekend due to the volume of aircraft visiting.
Remarks: Passing over Chateauroux (apparantly). The weather was on my side, with sunlight and snow combining to make for some glorious photos between LGW and NCE! On board BA8131, seat 3A.
Remarks: Carlisle Airport as seen from 3500', from PA28 G-BCCF flying from Fife (EGPJ) to Manchester (EGCC). Carlisle is owned by the Stobart Group, who also own Southend. The group have ambitious plans to expand Carlisle, but these have yet to come to fruition. The Solway Aviation Museum can be seen to the left of the main apron.
Remarks: This historic site has manufactured such aircraft as the Lancaster, Vulcan, Nimrod and later the BAe146/RJ100. Following the cancellation of the Nimrod MR4A project, Woodford ceased to be viable and closed on 25th August 2011
Remarks: Being towed onto stand, ready for loading prior to it's evening flight back to South Africa. Behind can be seen plenty of airport action, with a PIA A310, Asiana 744 combi aircraft, two Varig 777s, a Cathay Pacific A340 and 2 Airbi of LTU and Aero Lloyd.
