Remarks: I am so pleased that I finally was able to photograph this aircraft. It was origionally operated by American Airlines and now repainted back to its previous owner.
Remarks: The NASA DC-9 is the "Path Finder" when the NASA 747 Shuttle Carrier carries the Space Shuttle on its back. It leads the 747/Shuttle Carrier 30 minutes ahead to make sure the weather along the Carriers route is safe for transporting the shuttle through it. "NASA 932" is seen here arriving 15 mins prior to the arriving of the 747/Spaceshuttle at TTS.
Remarks: "NASA 905 Heavy" The Shuttle Carrier provided an awsome approach back into TTS! I had no idea the Modified 747 could execute such a steep bank and be 3 miles form the runway with the Space Shuttle piggybacking. This is one shooting experience that I will never forget.
Remarks: "NASA 905 Heavy" Impressive arrival of the Shuttle and the Shuttle Carrier ariving back at TTS.
I am more happy to get the 747 than the Shuttle on its back.
Remarks: Nose gear up landing! This Allegiant aircraft developed nose gear problems after several low passes and dumping fuel it finally lands on runway 9L.
This was one touchdown I will never forget
