Remarks: "Kirchheim unter Teck" taking off from FRA's runway 18. It rotated way earlier than most other planes, I assume it was quite light. Note that, according to the wind indicator at the bottom right, the take off was under a light tail wind.
Remarks: AC7686 from YUL to BOS, seat 5A. Night view of Montreal shortly after take off from YUL. The airport is to the right of the winglet (the dark sideways V-like shape). At the bottom is the Honoré-Mercier Bridge.
Remarks: Very busy picture! "St Patrick", as EI 137 from DUB, is about to touch down on Logan's runway 27 while a JetBlue A320 is taking off from runway 22R. At the bottom of the picture a Delta MD-90 (N932DN) is being attended to by emergency crews after aborting its take-off run on runway 33L due to a locked up break.
Remarks: The Great New England Air Show 2012. This shot was taken in the middle of the afternoon, when the temperature inside the cockpit must have reached well over 100F! I'm grateful to the crew for hanging in there!
Remarks: Technik Museum Sinsheim. This rare Stuka crashed near Saint-Tropez in 1944 and was raised from the seabed in 1989. The museum will display it in this state and has no plans to restore it.
Remarks: The third Dreamliner built is being pushed back into the Delta Hangar. This was the first visit of the Dreamliner to Boston and it was organized for both operational reasons (gate trials) as well as promotional reasons (JAL's introduction of the B787 on the NRT-BOS route; in fact note the dude in the JAL jacket).
