Remarks: What is it about the weather in Sydney whenever I get airside??? Anyway, the Qantas Museum's 707 lands in Sydney after its restoration and long flight from Southend in the UK where it had been laid up for several years.
Remarks: (1815) The "City of Canberra" and the "City of Bunbury" tails in the one photo shows the difference in the old tail (XBA) of Qantas to the recent tail (EBQ). Some of the Qantas planes are now getting the revised livery. Both Seen at the Qantas Founders Museum at Longreach.
Remarks: A Close up head shot of the "City of Canberra". Longreach's new attraction. It is not available for tours yet as the museum hasn't looked inside it yet.
Remarks: City of Canberra, msn 029, farewelling Canberra on its last training flight, 3 days before its final voyage to her next home, Longreach to settle permanently.
Remarks:City of Canberra rotates off 34L out of Sydney. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this beauty begin to taxi on it's own power. The infamous black smoke trails of the 707 pumped out for ages after take off. Callsign was "X-ray Bravo Alpha"
