Remarks: Caught this DC-7 pulling into the gate just before boarding an American 720 to San Diego; the jet's wingtip is visible on the left-hand border of the picture; my logbook says the PHX-SAN trip was completed in 38 minutes!
Remarks: O'Hare's "new" terminal can be seen in the background, under construction. Many of American's DC-7 registrations were reassigned to 767s in the 1980s. Sadly, the second N334AA was lost on September 11, 2001.
Remarks: Never get bored with MAHO. Just when you begin to think you've seen it all the sky puts on a show featuring a classic DC-7 in ancient AA livery.
Remarks: Lumbering in over the beach and the fence. This old girl is 50 this year and still gives a dramatic performance on both landing and takeoff. MAHO beach is quite rocky this month but the sand always returns.
