Remarks: B-HXM, departing as CX6665 on a test flight before delivery to Aerolineas Argentinas in their smart new scheme. This is the second of Cathay's A340s to be destined for them as B-HXN was also painted a couple of weeks prior to this photo.
Remarks: A nice and fairly exotic airline for anyone I think and we are lucky to get it as a regular visitor in Hong Kong. Seem here departing home to the Maldives.
Remarks: Aeroflot does not usually fly their freighters out of Hong Kong in the daylight so this was a pleasant surprise for me. The light was just about perfect too!
Remarks: Now in the colours of Philippine Airlines subsidiary AirPhil Express, their low cost division. Keeping the nose up high after landing on runway 06.
Remarks: A delayed departure of the strikingly boring new scheme of Finnair. A quick glance and you may not even notice that this is the Oneworld scheme and not their normal one!
Remarks: One of the two planes in the Cathay fleet to have the '100 Years of Aviation in Hong Kong' sticker. It is so small though, that the only people who would ever be able to read it are the passengers in the terminal and whats the bet the majority would not even notice.
Remarks: Avient are always heavy when they leave Hong Kong and this one is no different. Rotating in front of Haeco toward the end of the runway with a fog beginning to appear over the top of the wings with the high angle of attack creating a very low pressure on top of the wings which in turn lowers the temperature of the air. On humid days like today, the dew-point of the air is reached and a cloud is formed.
Remarks: Now all-white with small titles, I wonder how long this 747 will stay in the fleet, especially given the upcoming reorganisation of the KLM Cargo/Air France Cargo/Martinair airlines into a single cargo airline.
