Remarks: Terminal A with the tower and the southern gates with some SWISS A320 and A321 as well as an Air Berlin A333 (D-AERK), as seen from the heliport
Remarks: Spotting location at the end of runway 10 (near Rümlang). Runway 10 is just used for takeoffs in the case of east wind. Spotting Location is good for lineup-shots in the evening. [Google Earth 47°27'28.95"N / 8°32'6.94"E]
Remarks: Nice Spotting Location in the North of the Airport. Photo taken from a small hill which gives the possibility to photograph all landing planes on runway 14 and 16. [Google Earth 47°29'8.95"N / 8°31'26.53"E]
Remarks: All the planes here are grounded due to the volcanic ash. Except the one I took this picture from, as small props were still allowed to fly. We had the airport all to ourselves! This shot was taken at 19.00. Taken from this plane.
Remarks: View over a full ramp, with all gates occupied with Swiss widebodies. Photo taken just before departure of Singapore Airlines' A380. Mind the famous ramptour-bus and even the fireman standing on top of the crashtender, to have the best photospots!
Remarks: View from a hill near Oberglatt... A Emirates B777 taking off in front of the massive Glärnisch with its well known peak Vrenelisgärtli. (GoogleEarth: 47°29'9.37"N, 8°31'26.30"E)
Remarks: What a lucky shot: just when I pressed the shutter, a CRJ 700 lands on RWY 34, framed by an Iberia A320 at the bottom, Swiss a320 in the middle, 3 business jets on the top background.
