Remarks: Just in from IAD but no chance of a cockpit shot on this flight that had the most officious flight attendant I've flown with presumably thinking that photography of and from an aircraft is a matter of national security. Although I got some great aerial views when we left IAD and when we passed BWI, unfortunately she ensured that I couldn't take any of the superb views of Manhattan we got on approach (see first in series ... Remarks: KBWI seen from UA8032 (IAD-EWR) about 20 minutes after departure. The active runway for departures at this time would seem to be 28 which has 1 aircraft ready to take off and Delta and Southwest in number 2 and 3 positions (see next in series ... Click Here)
Remarks: Overview of Dulles looking southwest ex 01R. There's a few interesting pieces on the GA ramp below and an Airborne Express 767 and UPS DC8 on the cargo ramp top right. A US Airways CRJ and Colgan Saab 340 can be seen parked at Saarinen's terminal while the newer, and wholly less attractive, midfield terminals house 2 x American MD80s, a Jet Blue Embraer 190, Korean 747, Delta CRJ, Southwest 737 and Air France Triple-7.
