Remarks: Used as a prop for an ITV hospital drama (Always and everyone) on the unfinished M60 after use as a prop the forward fuselage section was donated to the Manchester Airport fire section,where it still resides today as G-SMOKE.
Remarks: Typical "Autoland" weather.The Trident was the first airliner in the world to be cleared to cat 3B conditions, during January 1981 Heathrow arrivals were reduced from the average 375 to 107 of which over 80 per cent (88) were Trident's not one was a Boeing.(quote from my good freind Max Kingsly-Jones's book on the Trident).
Remarks: This aircraft was with Cyprus airways untill it ground looped on approach to Nicosia on 15th March 1972,the aircraft was repaired by BEA engineers and returned to service with them.
