Remarks: Preserved at Brooklands, this aircraft was originally developed to replace the Wellington T10 in a crew training roll. The aircraft was operated by the RAF for 25 years starting and 1951 with the last example being retired to the RAF Museum in 1992.
Motorsports fans may also notice the historic curved banking behind the Varsity, part of the historic Brooklands race circuit an also preserved at this great museum.
Remarks: First visit of a China Southern aircraft to Manchester, this cargo jet is arriving on a one off charter flight and would later depart to Wuhan.
Remarks: As we enter the end of another 747s days at LHR I cant help but comment that i will really miss this one and especially this great scheme. Take note Malaysian bring back this scheme on your newer machines and just make little changes.
