Remarks: Morning view of T1 Pier C with a Monarch A321 preparing for departure to Faro and a Lufthansa 737 for Frankfurt while in the background an Aer Lingus A330 on remote stand makes an unsual sight at MAN having just arrived for attention at Air Livery
Remarks: The day after Manchester's heaviest snowfall in years brought a day full of sunshine and feezing temperatures. And it was a quiet ramp with only the Skyteam Delta N717TW of any intrest.
Remarks: This has to be one of the classic spotting locations in the UK. Its position on the north side of the airfield makes it a little useless for photography until the late afternoon on bright days, but it still gives superb opportunities to observe the aircraft. Here the mound is busy as PIA's AP-BAT trundles on by.
Remarks: It was worth getting up at about 0330 in the morning and taking the night bus to the airport which takes about 1 hr. Finally after waiting for 4 hours in the hot sun, T2 was almost full with a mix of all kind of aircraft from all over the world! I had the pleasure of shooting each one of them individually as they came in or left. Here they are from the front: Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400 G-VAST 'Ladybird'; US Airways Airbus 333 N273AY; Onur Air MD-88 TC-ONN; Thompson 767-300 G-OBYJ; KLM Cityhopper Fokker 70 PH-KZK; Continental 757 N13138; First Choice 757 G-OOBG; Delta 767 N825MH; Qatar 332 A7-AEM; AirFrance 320 F-GKXF; FlyGlobespan 767 G-CDPT.
Remarks: Dawn view of the ramp between Terminals 1 and 2 with no less than 25 aircraft visible of 8 different types. Of particular note is the Qatar 777 at the front of the line up on T2 making its first visit.
