I could stay there all day watching them little birds come...
Framed by its sisters one of the islanders is on very very short finals down the bank,to the runway
After using the full length to land ,she gets turned round almost on the beach
Stunning St Barts comes into view as we decend towards the runway
Takeoff with no barrier at the runways end just sand and water and a man plum center of the runway
This was the second landing we saw while we stood at the top of the bank and it still made me shudder at the thought we had just done that
On short finals just over the roundabout ,ready to nose dive down the bank onto the runway, which all can be seen through the cockpit windows
This must be the most spectacular landing you can have it really takes your breath away,as we had just experienced
It took us quite an effort to get here but this shot was worth all the effort
All the effort involved in getting to ST Barts ,was to get this actual shot it was for me a dream come true
Another breathtaking take off shot from St Jean Beach. Behind the plane we can see the hill the planes must clear just meters before landing. Then is nose down, engines cut off, nose up, touch dow... (more)
The Cockpit of this nice DHC-6 Twin Otter
Sometimes we must use a little rule of thirds on the composition. Simply an amazing take off I witnessed at St Jean Beach.
