Remarks: very rare plane. This F-4E served with the 20th FS of the USAF "Silver Lobos". This unit trained German pilots on the F-4, first using F-4E, later F-4Fs. After the F-4E were retired this one flew to Hopsten to become a ground instructional airframe, picking up the fake reg of 40+72 (belongs to an Alpha Jet) in the process.
