Remarks: That 1930s car-like grille can only mean Globe Swift! One of only two in Australia, this one was imported in 1993 and registered VH-BYB(3) on 23 February that year. Manufactured in 1946, it was originally N78086 before going to Canada in 1982 and becoming C-FBEB. Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Chippie Rally.
Remarks: This Chippie was first registered in Australia in 1987. It is the former RAF WB683 and G-AORL. I had the great pleasure of flying it once many years ago when I was doing my aerobatic training. Thanks Dick! Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Chippie Rally.
Remarks: This 2004 Air Tractor was registered new in Australia on 6 October that year to big aerial ag operator Field Air of Ballarat. It's evidently used on summer fire bombing contract work too, as 'Bomber 249'.
Remarks: Heading home to Luskintyre after the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Chippie Rally. This former RAF Chippie, WB710, was de-mobbed in January 1951 and according to some sources went to the Sri Lankan Air Force. In any case it went to Ireland as EI-AJB in 1956 before coming to Australia in 1958 where it became VH-RSM(2) with the Royal Aero Club of NSW. Later re-registered VH-WMT, then VH-WMG. It was restored and re-registered VH-RSM(4) in 1987.
