This is the World’s only airworthy F.8 (single-seat) Meteor, flown on this day (as usual) by Alan Clements.
Remarks: Pilot’s View of the Instrument Panel of Temora Aviation Museum's Mk 16 Spitfire VH-XVI (Code FU-P), ex RAF Serial TB863, at Temora on 16Feb2013. TAM acquired this Mk 16 Spitfire from the Alpine Fighter Collection (Wanaka, New Zealand) after her last display at 'Warbirds Over Wanaka' during Easter 2006. On 16Feb2013, VH-XVI was scheduled to fly in formation with TAM's first Spitfire: VH-HET (Code RG-V), but the formation didn’t happen because the second Spitfire Pilot was busy elsewhere, flying a fire-fighting helicopter!
Remarks: RAN Taipan Squirrel AS-350B helicopter N22-015 Code 862 Cn 1739, from 723 Sqn Nowra, performed in a synchronized pair flying display at Temora Airport on 06Feb2005. The occasion was a Summer Temora Aviation Museum (TAM) Flying Day, when most fixed-wing aircraft were grounded by a swarm of locusts. Remarks: Close cropped view of ex-Singapore Air Force Aermacchi (SIAI-Marchetti) S-211 VH-CBL (Code 339), which was one of three examples of the Type to visit Temora during the Fighters Showcase in mid-March 2011. This Jet Trainer, built in 1985, was First Registered in Australia on 22Dec2009. The aircraft was parked facing the wrong way, so owner Jim Whalley lifted the nose and re-positioned the plane manually.
