Remarks: This anonymous VC10 nose (believed to be ZA144) is used by the RAF Forward Support (Fixed Wing) crash recovery unit at St Athan to provide instruction in battle damage repair (now known to the RAF as Contingent Repair), for which purpose they trailer it round to remote locations. The hazard stripes and day-glow markings relate to its road-going role. Confirmation or its RAF serial would be welcome… (400D & Sigma 28-300)
