Remarks: On display at the Virginia Aviation Museum in Richmond, this is the only known A-14D in existence. It was originally owned by the Curtiss-Wright Co., and flown by such notables as famous test pilot Jimmy Doolittle and New York City Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia.
Remarks: Originally built for American Airlines in 1934, the V-1As were taken out of commercial service when new rules dictated that airliners had to have at least two engines. This example at the Virginia Aviation Museum in Richmond is the only known surviving V-1AD in the world.
Remarks: Front view of this SR-71A Blackbird that was brought to the Virginia Aviation Museum from Edwards AFB, CA in October 1999. This aircraft last flew on Feb 12, 1990 and has 2,279.0 flight hours.
Remarks: After serving under the command of LTJG. Paul Galanti in the VA-216 Black Diamonds on the USS Hancock this old bird has ben relocated to the Virginia Aviation Museum.
