Remarks: This one is taxiing to rwy 25, for its early morning flight to Bogotá. It was a bit delayed though, probably due to an electrical problem. The technician (Colombian Air Force flights, including Satena, always have one onboard), the pilot and some airport staff were fixing the issue when we arrived.
Remarks: Rather common visitor to Popayán and, for sure, a very nice sighting. It's a shame we missed its landing becuase, precisely, some Police men were asking us questions and reviewing our pics. A paranoid neighbor called them, when he saw us with the "big cameras".
Remarks: One of the Colombian Air Force's new Huey II choppers, seconds after taking off from Batallón de Infantería José Hilario López (Brigada 29) at Popayán. I really like this paint scheme.
Remarks: Very rare visitor to Popayán. This Hércules landed, went to the ramp, unloaded some stuff and got back in the air in less than 15 minutes. Very lucky to have seen this bird here.
Remarks: This was taken from a recently discovered spot in PPN, which is one of the best ones (for me) we have in Colombia. It's a shame PPN traffic isn't too crowded, but you can have some interesting sightings from time to time. Just like this beautiful bird.
Remarks: On August 20th 2003, the Sociedad Aerolineas Centrales de Colombia, ACES was disolved; on that day, also, Aires started it's operation between Bogotá D.C. and Popayán using the DHC8-301. At this time, after flight 8140, we came on this ex Tyrolean -103
Remarks: Arriving from Bogota DC as AV9241 with not the best weather at Cauca's Capital. It's not the usual parking position for this F50, but the reason was that they were waiting for a DC3 and Suramericana's DC9 (Jet is back!) to leave free the fueling position.
