Remarks: The Spirit of St. Louis is but one of the many gems to be found at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
Remarks: This X-15 obtained Mach 6.72 at an altitude of 108km! Hard to believe it was designed in the 50's! Aerospace engineering at its best!
Remarks: National Air and Space Museum. Since it was raining all day, this free museum attracted thousands of visitors. It was almost impossible to get a clear shot.
