Remarks: View form the hill of the small apron and control tower at Kephalonia. To the far right of the apron is a small area where the two resident Dromader fire-fighting aircraft reside. They are often seen flying to fight fires which all too often spring up over the warm summer months.
Remarks: Back tracking Runway 32/14, following our arrival on this lovely island. The small terminal and apron can be seen, as can the two resident firefighting aircraft, just above the wing..
Remarks: Returning to the airport to take on more water, during another evening firefighting mission in the countryside. Unfortunately many areas of the island are at risk from fires due to the parched ground and hot temperatures in July and August.
