Remarks: Where it all began, Kill Devil Hills. The monument, dedicated to the Wright Brothers stands tall above all else around. The grey path at the top of the photo is the path of the first powered flight. To the right on the dirt path are replicas of the Wright Brother's hangar. If you follow the dirt path a little further you will find the musuem. The airport provides a great place for pilots to fly.
Remarks: My 100th photo to JP.net! What a special moment, flying over the Birthplace of Flight. In the top left is the monument to the Wright Brother's. The two buildings to the bottom left are replicas of the Brother's hangers. To the right is First Flight Airport. And the gray path at the bottom left is the path on which the Brother's first flights traveled.
Remarks: On display at the Wright Brothers Memorial for the Centennial of Flight Celebration. A reflection of the helicopter is visible in the water on the bottom of the picture.
